Our Leadership

Executive Director, Lab Director & Principal Scientist

Dr. Rex Bergamini, PhD, is an environmental endocrinologist and ecotoxicologist. In his work deciphering the effects of ultra low-level environmental contaminants on endocrine function in aquatic vertebrates, Rex gained extensive experience in laboratory benchwork, mass spectrophotometry, gel electrophoresis, and genomics and transcriptomics. Rex also has extensive experience detecting microbial organisms in environmental samples, using MF, MPN, Colilert and RT-qPCR technologies. Rex has run a microbial lab since 2005, and is responsible for R&D, QA/QC, reporting and leading NAZ Analytical.Rex is also leading our research into the pharmacokinetics and pharmocodynamics of the endocannabinoid system.

Director of Marketing & Sales

Jerry McFarland is both an insider in the cannabis industry and is fluent in analytical instrumentation and testing. Jerry has a long career in medical sales and cutting-edge medical instrumentation technologies first working in sales selling instruments for non-invasive orthopedic and general surgery, followed by CEO for several companies specializing in medical laser products and endoscopy. Jerry is also trained in and is highly proficient at customer focus and orientation; that is, the ability to respond to customer situations with sensitivity. The cannabis analytical field is all about people relations and the ability to respond to issues with product quality quickly with germane solutions. Jerry is the person you can count on for that, he listens, works closely with clients and proffers applicable solutions.
